Longchamp, John Varvatos set up shop at Mexico's The Landmark Guadalajara
Global real estate company Thor Equities Group has announced leather goods company Longchamp and menswear brand John Varvatos have signed long-term leases at The Landmark Guadalajara in Mexico, a new 2.5 million-square-foot property encompassing luxury retail, office space and residences.
Designed by Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos, the Landmark Guadalajara is home to 70 retail stores, 300,000 square-feet of office space anchored by WeWork, and 150 luxury residences. In addition to Longchamp and John Varvatos, the development also hosts Ferragamo, Max Mara, Hugo by Hugo Boss, West Elm, Design Within Reach, Under Amour and Fogo de Chão.
Featuring modern architecture, the development is located in the Puerto de Hierro district, which the real estate company called "the most exclusive and prestigious neighborhood in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara," in a press release.
“With the addition of Longchamp and John Varvatos, The Landmark Guadalajara is continuing to grow its reputation as the premier retail destination for the entire region,” said Joseph Sitt, chairman of Thor Equities Group.
Thor Equities Group, which includes Thor Urbana in Mexico City, Thor Equities Europe and Thor Equities North America, recently launched four new projects in Mexico, for a combined size of approximately 7 million square-feet.
The company said it also plans "to develop, acquire, reposition and operate commercial, hotel and mixed-use projects" in popular areas throughout Latin America.
