Lord + Taylor hosted a window unveiling event on Thursday, November 10th in New York City. Unveiling festive holiday windows has been a huge tradition on Fifth Avenue, with hundreds gathering yearly to watch the event. This year, Lord &Taylor created five different tableaus in its five Fifth Avenue windows. The retailer considers the windows a ‘gift to the city’  and does not use them to feature any of its own products.

Liz Rodbell, the President of Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor said "Lord & Taylor's holiday windows are iconic and we are proud to continue the tradition of bringing joy and merriment to our customers and the thousands who visit New York City every holiday season. We are thrilled to unveil our five Enchanted Forest windows, which are sure to delight young and old alike."

Over 350 square feet of lights and 9,000 feet of mixed garland foliage were used to create the winter wonderland. A team of 75 craftsmen, artists, and engineers spend over 35,000 hours preparing the windows.

Lord + Taylor has been producing holiday windows since 1937. This year’s unveiling event will benefit the Save the Children foundation and will feature performances by singer Daya.
