Just in time for the impending prom season, Macy’s has announced a two-part partnership with TLC.  Entitled “Say Yes to the Prom”, the initiative will include an accessories and dress line is inspired by the hit TLC reality show Say Yes to the Dress, as well as a charitable portion that will help teens in need find the perfect prom outfit.

Macy's will  act as the retail partner for the Say Yes to the Prom charitable initiative, carrying a selection of over 2,500 donated dresses, accessories, bags, and shoes to allow young women and men across the country get ready for prom. Men's Warehouse has stepped up to allow young men to rent tuxedos and accessories.

Say Yes to the Prom, inspired by TLC’s reality TV show of the same name, was launched six years ago. The program is designed to help over 1,000 academically bright but financially struggling high school students find their perfect prom dress through the help of charitable donations and retail sponsors. TLC personality Monte Durham and iconic designer Betsey Johnson will star in the 90-minute video special on TLC, giving the chosen students one-on-one personal styling sessions. The initiative will travel to Macy's locations across the country.

The Say Yes to the Prom partnership will take over a shop-in-shop in the juniors department of 200 Macy’s brick-and-mortars across the country. The first part of the partnership, the collection, will feature 24 different dresses, as well as a full line of jewelry. The collection, created in partnership with Discovered Consumer Products, will launch in February, just in time to market to high school students searching for a prom dress for the spring season.
