Madewell opens its doors to RTH
Opened last June, the new Madewell store in Silver Lake, Los Angeles is unique in opening its doors since the beginning of August to the collections of another brand known to Californians, RTH.
Founded in 2000, the brand by Rene Tadeo Holguin became famous in Los Angeles thanks to the opening in 2011 of a store on La Brea Avenue. A space built as a small and charming house, with garden path, and which closed in 2019.
Holguin, born in El Paso to a mother with a passion for fashion and a father who made cowboy boots, first made his mark at Ralph Lauren, J.Crew and Levi's before launching RTH. The fashion and accessories brand is "inspired by the global truth of indigenous tribes and humans around the world", playing with leather, bandanas, vintage, and beads in a wardrobe with a workwear twist.
An expatriate in Palm Springs since 2020, the designer opened his first corner in the Mojave Flea Market concept store in Joshua Tree in 2021, then a store of his own at 191S Indian Canyon Drive, which is temporarily closed, until September.
Holguin also made a name for himself last year with a collaboration with the brand A.P.C.
At the Madewell store in Silverlake, RTH presents an edited selection of its offer with shirts and overshirts, denim, sweatshirts, shoes, hats, bandana bags and "paper" bags in all sizes. The RTH corner at Madewell will be present until mid-September.
