Maison Margiela Fragrances to open South Coast Plaza pop-up
Maison Margiela Fragrances is opening a freestanding retail experience in Costa Mesa, California at South Coast Plaza, in time to tap the busy holiday shopping season.
The pop-up will feature the brand’s ‘Replica’ collection of fragrances, including a new scent that will be exclusively unveiled at the shop, the brand said.
The Replica collection includes a range of 15 scents, each inspired by a specific scent-based memory.
Inside, the store will offer exclusive customization and gifting options, including the ability for shoppers to create personalized fragrance labels and print their own photos onto a fragrance pouch using an on-site iPhone printer.
In order to further boost the new location, the South Coast Plaza store will host a series of special events, including jazz concerts, calligraphy events, and an exclusive book signing and activation with author and poet Cleo Wade, entitled ‘Whispers in the Library.’
The fragrance pop-up will run from November 1, 2019 through January 27, 2020.
The temporary store joins over 200 boutiques within South Coast Plaza, including Burberry, Coach, Lacoste, Bottega Veneta and Maje, among others.
Located in Orange County, South Coast Plaza is the largest shopping center on the West Coast.
According to Location OC, a promotional site for Orange County, the shopping center makes over $1.3 billion in annual revenue, and is the highest grossing shopping center in the U.S.
