Major Ted Baker partner PDS acquires Radius Group

Global fashion infrastructure specialist PDS Limited is going through an intensely busy period. Just days after it emerged as a major Ted Baker Parter and the operator of the new Ted Baker Design Group, it has announced the formation of PDS Radius Brands following a majority acquisition of The Radius Group.

It said the acquisition “will enable PDS Radius Brands to accelerate its growth and reach within the areas of brand development across global markets, whilst also unlocking new additional growth opportunities across the PDS group”.

PDS Radius Brands will be a division of PDS Limited and the new unit is being led by Radius CEO and founder, Damian Hopkins. Its new owner said it “promises a best-in-class end-to-end brand management and development infrastructure, offering supply chain solutions, new market entry, licensing, and marketing to brands and retailers, with strong environmental, social, and ethical values”.

It’s based in London, operating from its new parent’s global offices, and “will deliver global brand management services for brands and retailers from design to delivery in the fashion and home sectors”.

It will also offer global ethical sourcing service “with integrity and sustainability at its core”, along with licensing and brand development across all product categories of fashion and home. 

The group said the new venture will further its goals of becoming a “market-leading global fashion supply chain infrastructure platform” and Vice-Chairman Pallak Seth added: “I have known Damian for many years and I am delighted to now welcome him into the PDS group. His reputation and expertise for launching, repositioning, and transforming brands combined with our global design and supply platform will enable us to become a market leader. Damian has first-hand experience across manufacturing, sourcing, retail, licensing and franchising worldwide and we are all excited to collaborate on this new venture.”
