Spanish high street brand Mango has unveiled a new collection of clothing for men and women created using sustainable materials.

The collection is part of the brand’s Take Action project, which aims to create a business model based on sustainability criteria and more environmentally-friendly processes through a variety of initiatives.
Mango Committed includes 25 pieces for women and 20 for men, all manufactured from environmentally-friendly fabrics such as organic and recycled cotton, recycled polyester and Tencel. The designs were also dyed with environmentally-friendly inks in a palette of neutral colours and have international certificates guaranteeing their sustainable origin.
Mango said the collection was produced in factories in Portugal, Turkey and Morocco.
To support the launch, the company has recruited models Raquel Zimmermann and Mathias Lauridsen to star in a campaign shot Josh Olins and styled by Aleksandra Woriniecka.
The project ‘Take Action’ was launched last year to group all corporate social responsibility initiatives of the company, including a project to collect used clothing and footwear at selected stores and the implementation of optimised air conditioning and lighting systems at its logistics centre in Lliçà d’Amunt, Spain.
