As reported by FashionMag.com in January, after Spain, France and Germany, Mango is affirming the importance of Italy as "one of its priority markets" with the opening of a huge megastore.
The Catalan brand has inaugurated its largest European store in Milan on the pedestrian street Corso Vittorio Emanuele, one of the city’s busiest shopping areas, and close to the famous cathedral.
The three floor, 32,000 square-foot megastore houses all of the retailers lines, including, of course, womenswear, Mango Man, Mango Kids, Sport, Intimates and Violeta by Mango, the line for plus-sized women.
With the opening, Mango has brought the number of its locations in Milan to 8 and the number of its stores in Italy to 82, the retailer said in a statement. Italy, where the brand has been present since 2001, has become its seventh largest market.
The Catalan clothing giant now has 2,700 locations in 108 countries. In 2014, it generated a turnover of 2.017 billion euros, up 9% compared to 2013, with an EBITDA of 223 million euros.
