Fashion school Instituto Marangoni, Max Mara, and the Woolmark Company have come together to create the Textile Project. This project will work with Instituto Marangoni’s Fashion Design students to highlight the value of quality raw materials.

Each student is tasked to make their outfits with a minimum of 90% wool. The students selected for the project are Celeste Chiaramonte, Lucia Sanjust Di Teulada, Carlotta Ferrari, Immacolata Greco, Marzia Lombardo, Shames Michael Lutchmiah, Martina Micci, Yu Yao, and Yu Yue.

MaxMara and Instituto Marangoni professors will assist the students in the design project. The Woolmark Company will also be sharing with the students all the company’s knowledge of Merino wool, as well as teaching them the qualities and versatility of the fiber.

The Woolmark Company is an Australian-based subsidiary of the Australian Wool Innovation. The Woolmark logo is designed to recognize high-quality innovation and excellence in wool.

Instituto Marangoni is an Italian-based fashion & design school. It currently has campuses in Milan, London, Paris & Shanghai.

These finalists will be showing one look from their collection in Milan from October 27th to 30th, 2016. The looks will be shown at the Max Mara store in Corso Genova. The display will also include the mood boards and concepts behind the collection.
