Maxime Simoëns and LVMH separate

Published
Jan 16, 2015

On Thursday, Maxime Simoëns formalized his separation by "mutual agreement" with shareholder LVMH, according to WWD.

Simoëns will also take a break in the development of his brand, but said, "I’m extremely serene regarding my future, for my brand and other projects. I’m very confident in my company’s future."

The LVMH group became involved in the development of the Maxime Simoens brand in 2013, a partnership that at the time was to allow the designer to "develop his creative vision internationally," with Sidney Toledano coaching the designer as regards to the brand’s business and strategic development.

Clearly, the partnership didn’t produce the desired results despite the initial enthusiasm.
