Metropolitan Fashion Week closing gala honors costume and actors

Betty White, Bob Barker, Ed Asner and Loretta Swit will be honored at Warner Bros. Studios on October 1 at the closing party of Metropolitan Fashion Week for their efforts in animal conservation.
Metropolitan Fashion Week takes place in Hollywood and is the only fashion week that showcases both fashion designers and costume designers.
Metropolitan Fashion Week (MFW) will pay homage to Hollywood history, honoring costume designers from film and television. There will be a special Cirque du Soleil performance, known for their elaborate costumes, in addition to a runway show. The runway show will highlight one-of-a-kind costumes and haute couture looks from international designers.
Designers presenting include fashion designers Erick Bendana, OTT, Suitfellas, and costume designers Ricardo Soltero, Inoe Vargas and Shokra. Swimwear designs by Adicora and LASC will be featured, as well as couture hat designs from Arturo Rios.
The actors being honored at the closing gala and awards show will receive the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award for Animal Conservation which will be presented by the GES Africa Conservation Fund for their passion and lifelong commitment to animals and endangered species.
The GES Group leads the largest wildlife management operation in South Africa and currently has 1,500 rhinos under its protection.
