Michael Kors CFO Parsons to retire, succeeded by Thomas J. Edwards, Jr.

Michael Kors announced on Monday the appointment of Thomas J. Edwards Jr. as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. He succeeds Joseph B. Parsons, who is retiring on August 1, 2017 after 13 years with the company.

 
Edwards possesses extensive experience as a financial and operational leader. He joins Michael Kors from Brinker International, a casual dining restaurant, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Edwards also held finance roles at Wyndham Worldwide, Kraft Foods, and Nabisco.

Idol, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Tom is a veteran in the global consumer goods industry and a proven financial and operational leader. He will be instrumental to us as we continue to execute on our key growth and operational initiatives as well as drive value for our shareholders.”

Parsons, who is retiring from Michael Kors, joined the company in 2004 as CFO, COO and Treasurer. He also spent close to 10 years at Donna Karan, and ended his time with the company as EVP and CFO.
 
At Michael Kors, Parsons helped lead the company from $17 million in revenues in 2003 to over $4 billion in revenues today.
