Michael Kors launches new Gold fragrance and jewellery collections

Michael Kors' latest collection releases have a theme in common: gold. Both his new jewellery collection and his latest fragrances were inspired by and named after the colour.

“There is nothing sexier than a woman with a beautiful glow after an amazing vacation—and nothing complements that glow better than shimmering gold jewelry and a hint of fragrance that feels just as opulent and glamorous,” Kors says.

The sculptural jewellery collection is made from gold-tone, white gold-tone and rose gold-tone stainless steel. The ads feature Kors' muse, Karmen Pedaru, shot by Mario Testino, wearing mixed metallic accessories.

For the fragrance collection, there's also three options: "White Luminous Gold", which features pear, jasmine and amber in a "bright and exotic signature," "24K Brilliant Gold," which has orange mandarin, voluptuous florals and a "rousing spark of woodiness", and finally "Rose Radiant Gold", which features sparkling spice, rich florals and soft musks.

The launch event for the new collections was hosted by the designer himself and Estée Lauder. Held at The Standard in New York on September 13, it featured a performance by British rockband Duran Duran. Guests included Hailee Steinfeld, Karmen Pedaru, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Naomi Campbell, Grace Mahary, Devon Windsor, Mario Testino, Aerin Lauder, Kate Upton, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jamie King, Constance Jablonski, Camilla Belle and Leigh Lezark.
