Michael Stars and the Joyful Heart Foundation, a foundation in support of abuse victims that was founded by actress, Mariska Hargitay, have teamed up on a limited edition capsule collection for survivors of abuse.
The collection consists of short sleeve and long sleeve crew neck t-shirts and tank tops featuring inspirational words like “survive,” “love,” “heart,” and “soul” that are meant to empower victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.
The Los Angeles-based brand is in its 6th year of partnering with the Joyful Heart Foundation, the 11-year old foundation founded by Mariska Hargitay. The actress famous for her role as Detective Olivia Benson on the NBC crime drama, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, was inspired to launch the foundation after having her eyes opened to staggering statistics of abuse and after having received an outpour of gratitude from survivors. The mission of the Joyful Heart Foundation is to heal, educate and empower survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse, and to shed light on these issues.
The Michael Stars, Joyful Heart Foundation collection will retail between $54 to $64 and 25% of each piece purchased will be donated to the education and empowerment of survivors.
