Children’s apparel start-up Kidbox has appointed Miki Racine Berardelli as its new CEO. Berardelli brings 20 years of marketing experience, particularly in the e-commerce industry. Berardelli has held a slew of top executive positions at Chico’s, Tory Burch and Ralph Lauren.
Kidbox, a New York City-based e-commerce company, launched this spring. The company assembles and ships boxes of six or seven branded clothing items for girls and boys ages 3 to 14 to consumer homes. Clothing is curated based on a child’s style profile that customers provide. Boxes cost $98 and include clothes ranging from $12 to $16 when bought individually.
Berardelli, who will assume her role as CEO of Kidbox in Sepetember, explains, “I think time is the ultimate luxury right now, and moms are extremely busy. These boxed-based, seasonal business models take care of the curation and the selection process and save time for the consumer.”
Kidbox cofounder Haim Dabah will pass her role as CEO to Berardelli as part the startup’s growth strategy. She joins Kidbox from women’s retailer Chico’s, where she was president of digital commerce, chief marketing officer and executive vice president. Prior to Chico’s, she was chief marketing officer of Tory Burch, where she led the brand’s digital-commerce business. She also senior vice president of marketing for digital and retail for Ralph Lauren.
