NYFW may be over, but Milly is keeping a sartorial presence at 158 Mercer with a 2,000-square-foot pop-up shop showcasing its spring 2018 See Now, Buy Now capsule collection, as well as ready-to-wear, Milly Cabana, Milly Mini’s and limited edition t-shirt collaborations.

Pop-up shops continue to emerge as engaging, social spaces — not just retail portals. The Milly store incorporates features such as interactive in-store art and music and tech programming.

The brand’s spring 2018 ready-to-wear collection features pieces inspired by wildflowers (think skirts with a petal-like design), as well as unique standouts like a reverse button-up shirt with peasant sleeves and relaxed trousers with a crinkled waistband. The pieces incorporate Milly's use of sharp tailoring, bold color-blocking and custom prints.

Milly has been also been in the news for taking a sartorial political stand after the election. The current fall collection, "Fractured," features slashed menswear-inspired knits that represent a metaphoric reaction that Milly designer Michelle Smith has felt post-election as a woman. Both the fall and spring collections were also designed to make statements of acceptance towards the LGBT community.

Since launching in 2001, Milly has garnered a celebrity following including Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, Kristen Wiig, Emily Blunt, Michelle Obama and Jennifer Lopez who have graced the Red Carpet wearing the brand's feminine pantsuits and signature fit-and-flare cocktail dresses.

The pop-up store will remain open until December 31st, but there’s a permanent flagship store located on Madison Avenue.
