Molla Space and 22 Design Studios create 4th Dimension watch

The frenetic pace of urban living was the inspiration between Taiwan's 22 Design Studios and LA-based Molla Space new product, the 4th Dimension Concrete Watch.

Concrete is 22 Design Studios' signature material and the studio has previously made jewellery from the material. "The city houses us, moves us and protects us with the concrete and steel," says Sean Yu, the head designer of 22, "and also inspires us!"

The new watch's concrete surface is a 1mm thick hand molded and crafted concrete panel, and it also features exclusively designed brass hands and bands made from Italian leather.

The watch is up on Kickstarter now and 22 has teamed up with Molla Space to bring it to the US. "We strive to steadily push our brand into becoming a globally recognized one," says Yu. "I really hope people see the beauty and poetry behind the design of this watch."
