Moose Knuckles opens first North American store

Canadian outerwear brand Moose Knuckles has opened its first North American flagship store in Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
The 2,750-square-foot space was designed by Canadian interior design collective Burdifilek and was created with the brand’s ethos “for community, freedom, authenticity and balls to the wall attitude” in mind.
“We’re sold in 26 countries at upscale specialty and department stores but we’ve never had a space that exposes both the depth and breadth of the line,” explained Ayal Twik, president of Moose Knuckles, in a news statement. “This store is the full concentration of the brand DNA and incorporates our humor, sexiness, irreverence, and candidness. It gives the customer a chance to breathe it in.”
The store’s architecture is intended to oppose the traditions of retail with a raw space that reflects the brand’s signature street sensibility.
The flagship opened earlier this month with the company’s full Fall/Winter 2017 collection and new product categories such as footwear, bags and exclusive styles.
While the flagship expands Moose Knuckles’ footprint in Toronto, the company said it will remain focused on its presence in department and specialty stores across North America and Europe as well as concessions in South Korea.
Moose Knuckles Canada was founded in 2007.
