Movado Group adds Ann Kirschner to board

Movado Group announced on Wednesday the appointment of Ann Kirschner to the company's board of directors.

Kirschner, who has more than 30 years of leadership and digital technology experience, was officially elected to the board last month. 
 
She is the founder and currently serves as president of Comma Communications, which provides advisory services for institutions and organizations focused on innovation in media, technology and education. Prior to that, she founded and served as CEO of Fathom, an online learning company, and was also the first digital strategist for the National Football League. 

Since 2018, she has been a University Professor at The City University of New York, where she is a Faculty Fellow at the Futures Initiative at the CUNY Graduate Center.

Kirschner currently serves on several boards for various technology and media companies, including Strategic Cyber Ventures, Cricket Media, and Noodle Partners.
 
The Paramus, New Jersey-based watch maker reported significantly reduced earnings in its first quarter, while its net sales actually rose 15.3 percent to $146.5 million.
 
For fiscal 2020, it expects to report net sales in the range of $750 million to $765 million. Net income is predicted to be between $64.0 million and $66.4 million, or $2.70 to $2.80 per diluted share.
