New York Fashion Week is on the move once again. IMG Fashion announced during NYFW last week that it has formed a partnership with Spring to make Spring Studios the new home of NYFW.
The division of William Morris Endeavor announced in June that Skylight Clarkson Square and Skylight Moynihan Station will no longer be the fashion week’s home following the September 2017 season. NYFW moved to Skylight in 2015 after losing its five-year license at Lincoln Center.
Beginning in February 2018, Spring Studios will host NYFW: The Shows and will hold runway shows, presentations, events and a retail space during the week.
Spring Studios is owned and operated by Spring, the 360 communications agency that has worked with the likes of Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Mulberry, Diesel, Clinique and Christopher Kane. The New York City location at 6 St Johns Lane in Lower Manhattan is home to five studio spaces, a mezzanine, an open rooftop and workspace for members, and a restaurant named Spring Place. Spring also operates Spring Studios locations in London and Milan.
Spring Studios in past seasons has served as the venue for runway shows by Michael Kors, Diane von Furstenberg and Altuzarra, and this month, hosted the Jeremy Scott runway show among others.
