Nasty Gal and Cara Delevingne reference female rock icons in their fashion collaboration

The Nasty Gal label has collaborated with model and actress Cara Delevingne for a collection that draws on her personal style as well as that of rock icons.

It's yet another collaboration for Cara Delevingne. The top model, known for her edgy, androgynous style and natural charisma, is the muse of Nasty Gal's collection of holiday looks. The designs draw on the British actress and model's personal wardrobe as well as those of rock icons like Cher and Stevie Nicks.

By turns grunge, sexy, glamorous and urban, the collection encompasses ready-to-wear, accessories, and lingerie. Standout pieces are a pair of leather pants, a coat in leopard-print faux fur, a sequined skirt, oversized distressed jeans, a blazer-dress, and a fringed leatherette jacket.

Cara Delevingne even posed for the campaign at Electric Lady Studios, the mythic recording studio founded by Jimi Hendrix.

"I couldn't be more thrilled to star in Nasty Gal's holiday campaign. I've followed the brand for years and am inspired by their approach to fashion -- always rebellious and ever evolving. I love to work with brands that push the envelope on style and this collection does just that," said the model in a statement.

Cara Delevingne is everywhere in fashion these days, both as a model and as a designer. For the past several seasons she has been involved in collaborative efforts. Her most recent, with Puma and Balmain, will be out on November 21.

In the meantime, the Nasty Gal x Cara Delevingne collection is already available on the brand's website, www.nastygal.com, for prices ranging between US$30 and 300.
