NBA's Evan Turner opens Madison-USA men's boutique
Madison-USA, the Midwestern menswear retailer led by Jarrel Tolbert, Jelani Floyd and NBA point guard Evan Turner of the Portland Trail Blazers, opened its first-ever location on Friday at 1221 N High Street in Columbus, OH.
The new menswear retailer, which takes its name from the Madison and Pulaski streets in Chicago where Turner would shop in his youth, resembles a rustic gallery space. It features an exposed brick wall, high, white ceilings and track lights, light wooden floors, hanging metal racks suspended from the ceiling and white columns that divide the space.
A photo gallery lines the walls of the store and compliments a white sculpture by Hebru Brantley that serves as the centrepiece of the space.
In addition, Madison-USA carries popular brands such as Levi’s and Carhartt WIP, acclaimed brands Robert Geller and Death To Tennis, and up-and-coming brands Head of State and Know Wave.
The retailer also launched an in-house label made in partnership with Champion, which is comprised of long sleeve t-shirts and crewneck sweaters, hoodies and sweatpants.
