Neil Barrett debuts first London store on Conduit Street

Neil Barrett has opened his first permanent European store in London with a debut on Conduit street. The road, which was once more a convenient cut-through between Regent Street and New Bond Street than a major shopping thoroughfare, has increasingly benefited from the attention of luxury brands in recent years. Newcomers such as DSquared, Isaia, MCM and Goat have joined long-time residents like Vivienne Westwood.

Barrett’s new London location at number 41 Conduit Street is a sizeable space, covering over 2,000 square feet, and was developed with Zaha Hadid Architects, a company that Barrett has worked with before.
It’s an atmospheric mix of dark and light and carries the brand’s full line-up of menswear, womenswear, kidswear and active product.
The 20-year-old brand had previously focused its store operations on the all-important Asian market with the company having more than 30 stores in Greater China and Japan. For now, there’s only one other Europe location, a long-running pop-up in Milan, the city in which Barrett is based.

But Barrett clearly hasn’t forgotten his British roots and and with his brand a popular name in London’s highest-end department stores, his just-unveiled AW19 menswear runway collection was titled Born In Britain.
