Nike celebrates Air Max Day with new collection

With anniversary celebrations in the works for its upcoming Air Max Day, Nike has announced the launch of new Air Max designs, reissues and innovations, set to be released throughout the month of March.

First introduced in Nike's 1979 Air Tailwind design, Air later evolved to be a visible part of the shoe's style when the Air Max was released in 1987.

To celebrate this 30th anniversary Nike will observe Air Max Day on March 26, with a new collection of Air to be released during the month.

As well as the long-awaited release of the Nike Air VaporMax, fans can also expect new releases of the Women's Nike Air Max Jewell, the second ever women's-only Air Max model; the Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Flyknit, featuring two new innovations for a lighter shoe; the Nike Air Max 1 atmos Elephant, co-created by famed Japanese retailer Atmos; the Nike Air Max LD-Zero, created for Air Max Day 2016 by legendary streetwear designer Hiroshi Fujiwara; and the Nike Air Max 1 Master and Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0 LE, both 30th anniversary editions of the Air Max 1.
