Nike Live opens in Downtown Summerlin

Nike has opened its Nike Live retail concept in Downtown Summerlin, as the athletics retailer continues to emphasize smaller-format stores.

Dubbed 'Nike by Red Rock', the store is the first-of-its-kind in the Las Vegas area and joins other Nike Live concepts in Los Angeles, Tokyo and New York. First introduced in 2018, the store concept is crafted around localization and community with an assortment, design and community engagement elements all tailored towards the needs of customers in the area.

At Nike by Red Rock, the product mix is tailored to Summerlin shoppers with women’s apparel and footwear, as well as a small selection of men’s lifestyle and performance products. As with the other Nike Live stores, the store offers digitally-enabled services, which merges the brand’s online shopping experience with the physical one for more convenience.

Customers can take advantage of Nike’s Swoosh Text, which connects shoppers with store employees, to message Nike by Red Rock employees about product inventory or new arrivals. Moreover, shoppers can return or pickup online orders as well as take advantage of curbside pickup services, while Nike SNKRS app users can also reserve exclusive sneakers for purchase at the Summerlin store.

Most recently, Nike has been affected by the disruption in the global supply chain for sneakers, which is also expected to hit the production of Spring/Summer 2022 collections. This has not, however, slowed down the company’s plans to open more stores, as it plans to open dozens over the next quarter.
