Nikki Reed launches sustainable beauty line with Anthropologie

Actress Nikki Reed is next to enter the sustainable lifestyle brand space with Bayou With Love, a sustainable beauty collection launched in exclusive collaboration with Anthropologie.

The Bayou With Love collection is exclusive to Anthropologie and includes eco-friendly products and recycled plastic packaging that are all made in the USA. The range features 4 products that are packaged in a vegan cosmetic pouch. Included are a sandalwood and bergamot plant oil scented perfume, a healing balm with lavender, a sage travel candle, and a lip and cheek tint with peppermint oil.

Reed said of her sustainable focus, "When I changed to a plant-based diet, my skincare routine began to mirror my philosophy with health and wellness... I became obsessed with understanding why we don't treat our skin, which is our largest organ, with the same respect as our other organs... Now I focus more on skincare."

Reed said of her own line that "finding low-chemical options is especially important to me now as I enter into this next chapter as a mom," a similar ethos to that of Jessica Alba's Honest Company. The brand's focus on ecology also makes it an ideal partner for Anthropologie; whose sustainability is a key selling point to its consumers. The skincare brand set the stage for the collection saying that it "recalls the lush nature and untamed spirit of the Louisiana bayous."

Reed is most famous for her role acting in the Twilight movie series. She developed her sustainable beauty practices and knowledge of the industry with the help of her mother who was a beautician.

The collection is available now at Anthropologie for $98.
