NYFW: Bridal preliminary schedule released

Following February's successful edition of New York Fashion Week for Fall 2019, the U.S city is gearing up to host its 2019 bridal fashion week, slated for mid-April, according to a preliminary itinerary released by the CFDA.

Dubbed 'New York Fashion Week: Bridal', the four-day event will welcome both local and international bridal designers to showcase and present the latest in wedding gown creations and accessories for the season ahead.

Making up the 35-designer cast, several CFDA stalwarts such as Amsale, Cushnie, Lela Rose, Naeem Khan, and Reem Acra will feature during the NYFW: Bridal event, which starts Thursday, April 11.

The 2019 season will also see several fresh faces in the line up, with a band of newcomers including Monica Byrne, Nektaria, Nicole by Pronovias, Phuong My, Temperley London, Viscera New York and Martha Suarez.

Suarez will conclude the runway section of the week on the last night of event with a two-hour show/presentation scheduled for the Saturday night, April 13, from 7 p.m.

In addition to runways and presentation, the week offers private appointments with many of the aforementioned designers, with most offering the one-on-one service in addition to the live show.

Opting for appointment-only sessions this season, however, is the iconic Dutch-Franco duo, Viktor & Rolf, who have collection viewings on Saturday and Sunday during bridal fashion week, held later on Saturday and Sunday.
