Oakley becomes official eyewear sponsor of supercross race series

Oakley, the Orange County, CA based action sports brand, announced it will have an exclusive 3 year partnership deal with the country’s biggest supercross motorcycle race series, Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship.

The Monster Energy Supercross Series is a global event co-sponsored already by the American Motorcycle Association (AMA) and Monster Energy drinks. Oakley will join as the official eyewear and goggles sponsor, already having a strong brand presence with its pro rider team of top award-winning riders including Ryan Dungey, who just won the first Monster Energy Supercross event of 2016 in San Diego last weekend.

Oakley's history as a motocross brand and industry leader in optics makes it a natural choice for the partnership.  
Cuan Petersen, Oakley’s Global Director of Sports Marketing explains, “for decades, Oakley has created industry leading eyewear and goggles for some of the most recognized motocross athletes in the world, and this partnership will allow Oakley to showcase the brand’s product innovations and technologies designed specifically for the sport.”

Fans will see Oakley’s involvement at the events through product demos and customized branded experiences at the races. The brand plans to connect deeper with live and television audiences helping their riding experiences by showcasing innovative product throughout the series.
