On the last day of Première Vision, the Paris textile sourcing show, a jury lead by Berluti’s artistic director Alessandro Sartori announced the winners of the PV Awards.

Winners of the 5th edition of the PV Awards

The Grand Jury Prize, awarded to the ‘most outstanding, most symbolic and most pertinent fabric of the season’, went to Komatsu Seiren, a Japanese group which specializes in high-tech plain dyeing techniques.

The Handle Prize for the fabric which allies the most astonishing tactile and behavioral qualities and which the fabric that touches the senses and the emotions was awarded to Italian draper Luigi Colombo.

The Innovation prize went to Inseta, a wool specialist based in Prata in Italy. As the company’s name suggests, not only was the fabric the most innovative, but also the most ‘intelligent, technological and creative’.

The Austrians behind H.O.H. walked away with the imagination prize, which was awarded for the most daring, the most original, the most surprising fabric in terms of fibre, technique, decoration or finishing.
