Fashion giant PVH Corp. is hoping to educate tomorrow's business leaders about corporate responsibility and sustainability, with the launch of a new partnership.

The retail group, whose brands include Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, has joined forces with the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University in the US, to launch an academic hub for the study of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability.

The aim of the five-year partnership is to help students become conscientious business leaders, via resources such as a quarterly lecture series, various research programs and new academic offerings for undergraduate and graduate students. It also hopes to strengthen the ties between industry and academia and convene "global thought leaders."

"This partnership demonstrates PVH and Fordham's shared commitment to educate the future by harnessing the power of corporate responsibility for both financial successes and societal impact," said PVH Chairman and CEO Manny Chirico, who graduated from The Gabelli School of Business and currently sits on the Board of Trustees of the University.

"The partnership will prove that two organizations with very similar values, but in very different industries, can meaningfully connect to support social and environmental good at a time when we need it most," said Donna Rapaccioli, Ph.D., dean of the Gabelli School of Business.

PVH has rolled out multiple sustainability-focused initiatives in recent years, including signing last year's blockbuster 'Fashion Pact' spearheaded by François-Henri Pinault, the Chairman and CEO of the luxury conglomerate Kering, that was presented to world leaders at the G7 political meeting in August.

Last May, the group also unveiled ‘Forward Fashion,' the evolution of its corporate responsibility strategy that aims to reduce its negative impacts to zero and increase positive impacts to 100%.
