Canadian footwear and outerwear brand Pajar has opened its first brick-and-mortar retail store location in the U.S.
The 2500-square-foot flagship store opened in New York City's iconic SoHo fashion district at 114 Wooster Street and signals the brand’s aim to expand its presence in the international market. Inside, consumers will have the chance to shop roughly 300 footwear, apparel and accessory styles at any given time, including the fall 2021 collection.
Customers will also find an interactive, immersive and an in-person brand experience featuring a private VIP lounge, innovative visual displays and more, to offer consumers an intimate experience with the brand's Canadian roots.
"During a time when many retailers are pivoting from traditional storefronts and focusing on e-commerce models, Pajar Canada is seizing the opportunity to provide an elevated retail experience for outdoor and urban adventurers as well as fashion enthusiasts alike," said Jacques Golbert, CEO of Pajar. "We're so excited to open our first flagship location in SoHo to showcase the entirety of our Lifestyle collections to the global community.”
The five-generation, family-owned fashion brand was born in Montreal in 1963. Today, it is well-known for its performance collections crafted with waterproof leathers and textiles, which are ideal to get through Canadian winters.
To kick off the Pajar store opening, the brand held an official grand opening and ribbon cutting event on October 20, 2021. Pajar specializes in manufacturing, wholesale, and retail.
