On October 1m the municipal governments of Paris and Rome celebrated the signing of a "new founding act of cooperation" which includes, among its various objectives, the goal of developing partnerships in the field of fashion.

Anne Hidalgo and Ignazio Marino

Signed by Anne Hidalgo and Ignazio Marino, the respective mayors of Paris and Rome, the agreement should strengthen cooperation between the two capitals, which were established as twin cities in 1956.

One major goal is to support cultural development. Each city has pledged to initiate partnerships in the fashion industry, and to augment cooperative exchanges that involve design, culture and education.

Paris and Rome have also confirmed their commitment to supporting scientific, technological and tourism-related innovations, while strengthening, in particular, economic cooperation.
