CFDA Fashion Icon Pharrell Williams has repurchased a 50% stake in BBC Ice Cream LLC from Iconix Brand Group. According to the American press, Iconix confirmed the news on Wednesday.

The company decided to forego its stake in the Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream brands that Pharrell founded in 2005 in order to focus on its larger brands. “BBC and Ice Cream represented less than 1 percent of our total business,” said an Iconix spokesperson. "It was a strategic decision to rationalize smaller non-core assets in the Iconix portfolio, allowing us to focus our time and resources on the larger cash-flow-generating brands."

Iconix invested in Grammy Award winner’s clothing company in 2011 through a joint venture with Pharrell’s frequent music collaborator, Jay Z. Under Iconix, BBC and Ice Cream moved production from Japan to Canada, Mexico, Korea and China, which resulted in record numbers for the brand.

Pharrell and BAPE founder, Nigo founded Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream in 2005. The brand most recently collaborated with CFDA designer, Mark McNairy and Timberland.
