Photographer Terry O'Neill dies at 81
British photographer Terry O'Neill died on Saturday 16 November at the age of 81 after a long battle with prostate cancer, his agency Iconic Images said. O'Neill made his name in the industry for his striking fashion and celebrity images, including of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

O'Neill's work in fashion included collaborations with magazines like Vogue, also photographing stars such as David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Queen Elizabeth II and Nelson Mandela. He was the only photographer said to have captured the hype around The Beatles in the '60s, according to many industry professionals.
One of his last public appearances was in October at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace, when he was awarded a CBE by the Duke of Cambridge for his services to photography.
His agency commented: "As one of the most iconic photographers of the last 60 years, his legendary pictures will forever remain imprinted in our memories as well as in our hearts and minds."
