Polo Ralph Lauren opens franchised store in Lyon, France
Polo Ralph Lauren is broadening its retail imprint in France, having opened a first franchised store in Lyon on March 14. The new Polo Ralph Lauren shop is located at 28, rue de Brest, in the Cordeliers district within the city’s historic old town.
The store extends on two levels and showcases the label's menswear and womenswear collections. The décor has a typically American feel, striking a balance between tradition and modernity, with most of the furnishings in wood: unfinished oak parquet flooring, wooden wall panelling and tables and shelves in solid wood.
The first Polo Ralph Lauren franchised store in France was opened last December in the ski resort of Chamonix, by Dorothée and Bruno Coqblin. The label is planning more monobrand store openings in Europe this year, but no further details have so far been given.
The new Lyon franchise has been opened by Polo Ralph Lauren with retail entrepreneur Jacques Vuillermet, who operates another 30 franchised stores in the region.
