The U.S. peer-to-peer marketplace made its Canadian debut this month with the launch of Poshmark Canada in beta.

The marketplace, which merges social media aspects with shopping and selling, has received international attention since launching in 2011, and raising $160 million USD in funding with investments from celebrities like Rachel Zoe and Ashton Kutcher. Most recently, it also added fashion icon and tennis champion, Serena Williams, to its board of directors.

Now, Canadians can download the Poshmark app in the App Store and Google Play stores to access the Canada marketplaces - available across all Canadian provinces and territories.

Currently in beta, Poshmark will not offer international shipping between countries, but the company said it is working to fully enable global commerce in the coming months. Still, users are able to toggle between the Canadian and U.S. marketplaces, allowing the entire international community to see listings and engage.

Users can buy or sell items from a wide variety of shopping categories including clothes, handbags, shoes, jewellery and even make-up. Earlier this month, the company also announced its expansion into home décor with the launch of the Home Market.

Poshmark currently has more than 40 million users sharing style inspiration and shopping from 75 million new and gently worn items.
