Première Vision Pluriel attendance at 62,431

Published

For the first edition under the management of one trade fair organizer, and the last session before a name change, the six trade fairs comprising Première Vision attracted 62,421 visitors from September 16–18.

This first edition entirely under the helm of Première Vision suffered a slight decline in traffic (-0.3%). The drop could mostly be attributed to the Air France strike – 60% of flights were canceled during the week of the trade fair.

"In anticipation of flight delays, show attendees were often forced to reduce their presence at the shows, preferring to focus on their core business and reduce the length of their visits," said the organizer. "This was an unavoidable change to buyers’ behavior that mostly affected European attendees, but could have had a more serious impact on show traffic."

Such difficulties did not stop foreign buyers from attending, who represented about 72% of total visitors. The six shows’ exhibitors hailed from 120 countries for a total of 1,939 booths spread across the various shows.

Final visitor numbers for each of the six Première Vision Pluriel shows are: the Première Vision textile fair and Expofil, the yarn and fiber show, together brought in 53,400 visitors; Cuir à Paris, the leather and fur show, drew 16,231 buyers; and Modamont, the show for findings and accessories, recorded 25,654 visitors. The Indigo textile design fair attracted 15,225 visitors and the Zoom sourcing show brought in 6,806 attendees.

Effective next February, Première Vision Pluriel will be renamed Première Vision Paris. The individual fairs comprising the umbrella exhibition will all be named Première Vision, with a tagline in English referring to their specific industry.
