“Supporting new talents has always been a cause dear to my heart,” says Premium founder and CEO Anita Tillmann. “Every designer who wants to compete in the fashion industry on a global level needs long-term guidance and support. The Premium Young Designers Award was created to provide just this kind of platform.”

This season, the womenswear winner is London-based design duo Fyodor Golan, and the menswear prize went to Danish label Mads Dinesen. New York-based Silke Debler won the accessories award.

There was also a new prize in the activewear category, the "Season's Special" award, which went to "action couture" brand NO KA'OI, Italian-designed and Hawaiian-inspired. “Activewear is the new trend of the season. Combined together with fashion pieces, this is the look seen on big cities’ streets,” says Tillmann.

The winners get a stand at the Premium tradeshow for free, and will also present their collections inside the show windows displays of the Galeries Lafayette department store in the coming season.
