PSG opens debut New York store
French football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has opened a new global flagship store in New York City, serving as the first-ever international sports club retail location in the U.S. city.
Located at 587 5th Ave, the PSG NYC flagship opened in partnership with U.S. sportswear distributor Fanatics, and will be operated by retail giant Lids.
The New York hub will retail one-of-a-kind Paris Saint-Germain apparel, Paris Saint-Germain x NY products, and other advanced customization section for fans across its product ranges. Items on offer include team jerseys, headwear, and accessories, with a full range of Nike and Jordan teamwear, among other merchandise.
To celebrate the opening, PSG nd NYC-based boutique creative studio, Fly Nowhere, developed special projects and collaboration merchandise, including co-branded product drops inspired by local motifs. These drops will be available exclusively at the PSG NYC and Paris flagship stores, according to a press release.
“Once again Paris Saint-Germain is leading the way by bringing a flagship store right to the heart of New York City, one of the world’s iconic intersections of sports, culture, and fashion,” said Zohar Ravid, senior vice-president, head of global corporate development at Fanatics.
“The club is always pushing new boundaries and we are delighted to once again team up with our partners at Lids to expand its global retail presence in a key international market and help the club on its journey to becoming one of the most culturally relevant sports clubs and brands in the world.”
The PSG New York boutique is the club’s largest store outside of France, and comes one year after PSG opened a location in Los Angeles. The club's international retail network now includes three boutiques in Japan, one in Seoul, South Korea and two in Doha, Qatar.
