Psycho Bunny to open pop-up store in Miami to become permanent retail location

Psycho Bunny plans to open its first US store at the beginning of November this year and has chosen Aventura Mall in Miami as its first location. The store will start off as a pop-up then reopen as a permanent store.

Psycho Bunny, the men’s contemporary and golf clothing brand based in New York, will open a pop-up store in Aventura Mall, Miami, this November. The store will measure 1,600 square-feet and will be set up to resemble a “behind the scenes” art studio and prelude to what is to come. The pop-up will close after the holiday season on January 15 and reopen as a permanent retail location in early spring 2019.

The pop-up store will be divided into two sides, each one featuring a pop-art display that shows the brand’s aesthetic and features the brand’s logo. A coloured light installation will feature as well as a custom art installation on the back wall by Alex Yanes, a Miami-based artist who specialises in bright, 3D installations.

Psycho Bunny has chosen Florida for its store opening as the state has been a strong market for the brand.

“We’ve always had a strong presence in the Floridian market, Miami being the epicenter of culture, art and color, directly correlates with the artistic direction the brand,” said Psycho Bunny’s founder, Robert Godly, in a press release. “Aventura, for us, was a perfect choice, as it serves not only the local community but also international markets. We’re confident this will aid in growing the brand on a global scale.”

Psycho Bunny was founded by Robert Godley and Robert Goldman in 2005 as a men’s casual and golf-wear brand. The brand is known for its signature polo shirts, manufactured in Peru using Pima cotton. The brand retails in a number of product categories including outerwear, accessories, and apparel. The brand currently has a retail presence in Japan, South America, and the US.
