PVH poaches Poshmark comms chief
PVH Corp. announced on Wednesday the appointment of Amber McCann to the role of executive vice president and chief communications officer, effective April 6.
An experienced corporate communications executive, McCann, will lead all aspects of PVH’s global internal and external communications strategy and report to Stefan Larsson, CEO of PVH Corp.
McCann joins PVH from Poshmark, where she served as vice president of global brand and communications at Poshmark, guiding the marketplace's global communications strategy through its IPO in 2021 and acquisition by Naver Corp. in 2023. Before Poshmark, she spent 10 years in senior communications roles at Levi Strauss & Co., including leading communications efforts around the company’s strategy, execution and IPO. McCann also held positions at Gap, Inc. and Yahoo! earlier in her career.
"Amber has an impressive track record as an innovative brand and corporate communications leader with international experience at the intersection of fashion, consumer, and technology," said Larsson. "As we continue to execute the 'PVH+ Plan' and move our Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands closer to the consumer than ever before, Amber’s expertise working with iconic brands on a global scale will help bring our vision to life for all stakeholders.”
In its most recent trading update on Dec 1, PVH Corp. announced that revenues for the third quarter exceeded expectations, with the company clocking strong gains in North America for both Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, offsetting declines overseas.
Coinciding with the international headwinds faced during the quarter, PVH Corp. went into the red, clocking a profit loss of $186.7 million, which included a $30 million negative impact due to foreign currency translation, compared to a $279.7 million net income in the prior year period.
