Outdoor sports brand Quiksilver just announced that Joseph F. Berardino has been appointed to the the company’s board of directors, effective immediately.

Mr. Berardino brings with him more than 30 years of executive leadership and board service experience. He is currently a managing director within the Business Consulting Practice of Alvarez & Marsal, a leading independent global professional services firm.

Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal in 2008, Mr. Berardino was Chairman of the Board and CEO of Profectus BioSciences, after having served as Vice- Chairman of Sciens Capital Management. he has also served as CEO of Andersen Worldwide, a global accounting and consulting firm.
