RYU Apparel wins WGSN Futures Award for 'Best Store'

Vancouver-based technical training brand RYU Apparel Inc. was named 'Best Store' at the 2016 WGSN Futures Awards.
 
The ‘Best Store' category is presented to the store considered to be the best in the world based on product offer, in-store experience, customer service, retail innovation and ability to inspire those who pass through its doors. RYU Apparel was nominated alongside global brands Topshop, Primark and Gentle Monster.

 
"We are extremely honored to be recognized as a standout retailer on an international level," says Marcello Leone, CEO of RYU, in a news statement. "Our goal was to create a forward-thinking space that extends beyond just a retail outlet for the community, allowing them not only to shop but also to learn, train, compete and interact with other athletes. Receiving this award signals that we are achieving what we set-out to build."
 
The WGSN Futures Awards concluded the WGSN Futures summit, which took place on May 25 and 26, at which more than 40 expert speakers came to share their insights.
