Rebecca Damavandi is new CEO of Buscemi

Leather design house Buscemi has announced Rebecca Damavandi is its new CEO.

I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together," says Creative Director, Jon Buscemi.
Damavandi brings over 20 years of experience in branding to her new CEO role. She previously worked at Vince, Kellwood Company, and Elie Tahari where she gained a reputation as a merchant driven leader with proven sustainable growth across categories.
"I'm excited about the opportunity to partner with Jon and deliver a compelling product while building a best in class team, enhancing business performance and improving the customer experience," says Damavandi. "Jon and I have a clear vision of where we want Buscemi to go and I look forward to taking the brand to the next level."
Damavandi will jump in and lead the opening of Buscemi's first flagship in NY opening during NY Fashion Week, as well as expanding the women's business and relaunching a successful e-commerce site later this fall.
Buscemi is sold globally in 37 countries and in 118 doors including department, specialty and online stores worldwide. Its headquarters are in LA, its design studio is in Italy and its global showroom is in Paris on Rue Saint Honore.
