Rebecca Minkoff continues foray into wine, named Chandon brand ambassador

On the heels of designing a limited edition 2016 holiday bottle for Chandon, Rebecca Minkoff has now stepped up her partnership with the winemaker becoming its new brand ambassador for the next year.

Chandon

Napa, CA-based Chandon is aggressively going after the female 25-40 year old market. Minkoff's designs speak to that cool-girl consumer, thus the partnership was born. Followers of her social media accounts are already familiar with the entertainment and lifestyle content she shares.

Minkoff spoke of her own laid-back style when she began her collaboration with Chandon saying, "My favorite way to enjoy [sparkling wine] is to sip it on the couch with my husband.”

Her first round of bottles she designed featured graphics of her signature studs for a festive and modern take on a traditional sparkling wine bottle.

Becoming a brand ambassador will see increased crossover for Chandon, which is now available for sipping while shopping in Rebecca Minkoff shops.

Along with another limited edition seasonal bottle design for Holiday 2017, Minkoff will be designing an exclusive Chandon accessory that will launch this fall.

Part of her role as brand ambassador for Chandon will be to educate the consumer on wine making. She recently traveled to Napa to learn about Chandon's process and heritage as a California brand. Minkoff will release videos sharing information about the wine business and lifestyle, and will also participate in events based marketing for Chandon including the brand's Summer Fete.

The 2017 limited edition holiday bottles will launch in September. Minkoff has signed on to be the Chandon brand ambassador for a year, which will run until May 2017.
