Red Wing opens first store in Bahrain, targets Middle East

U.S. safety and lifestyle footwear brand Red Wing Shoe Company has opened a retail store in Bahrain, following a second store opening in neighbouring Dubai.

Located in Sitra, on the city's main Highway, the Red Wing Bahrain store brings the brand's customised shopping experience to Bahrain for the first time.

With a focus on workwear, the stock includes purpose-built footwear that meets safety standards for the region, as well as flame resistant work wear, safety glasses, gloves and other accessories.

The heritage Minnesota-based brand has been supplying safety footwear and personal protective equipment to the Middle East energy industry for 50 years, and most recently opened its second store in Dubai.

“The store opening in Bahrain once again proves our commitment to the industrial workers of the region, leveraging our second-to-none service level and expertise to outfit each customer with the specific needs of their work environment and purpose," said Paul Olson, managing director, eastern hemisphere for Red Wing Shoe Company. 

Red Wing has offices and a distribution centre in the United Arab Emirates, as well as in the United States, the UK, Norway and the Netherlands.
