Reebok and Victoria Beckham launch latest collab with loungewear elements

Victoria Beckham and Reebok have launched their latest collaboration, with Drop Four of their gym-to-street collection. It comes at a time when comfortable active and loungewear pieces are top-sellers both during lockdowns and afterwards.

And the offer reflects both the celebrity designer’s and the sports brand’s awareness of the fact that pieces of this kind continue to sell well even when formerly-locked-down consumers are allowed out again and are able to socialise.

The company said that in line with previous seasons, “each style in Drop Four is vetted and worn by Victoria herself, ensuring it reflects her vision of style, love of sportswear, and many hours spent in the gym”.

Beckham said the individual items are “clothes that make me feel confident, but that I don’t have to think too much about. True performance pieces for the gym, that have been thoughtfully and meticulously designed to be adaptable, and to move with me for all facets of my life”.

The company has carried over the bestselling Japanese terrycloth Cowl-neck Jumper and updated the Travel Hoodie and Tight “with a more relaxed, loungewear feel to suit a wider range of lifestyles”. 

Items also include “the introduction of more body-conscious styles with sharp yet subtle touches of branding, including the Logo Crop Top, with its flattering cutout detail, and the 7/8 Logo Tight – both with a luxurious matte finish”.

And there's a Seamless Crop Top and Seamless Tight, each knitted in one piece to avoid any seams. Plus there’s a new ribbing “that evokes the trims on vintage pieces”.

Additionally, there’s a puffer jacket, and a down-filled thermal Cropped Puffer, merino-blend Neck Warmer, Gloves and Beanie, as well as a number of accessories and shoes (the Rapide and the Bolton).

The core colours are scarlet red and burgundy as highlights, with soft camel and alabaster, plus “crisp, classic black, which is given a new, unexpected touch with high-contrast, graphic yellow branding”.
