Reebok drops maternity collection
Reebok has thought about those women who don’t want to stop being active during pregnancy. The U.S. sport apparel and equipment group, owned by Adidas, has designed and developed a sportswear line specifically devised for the maternity period.
The Reebok Maternity line includes leggings and tank tops made in highly elastic materials. For example, the Lux Maternity Tights (priced at €65) feature an extra nylon band to ensure the belly is well supported, while the Seamless Maternity Tank top (€40) has no seams for maximum comfort. The line's colour palette includes black, navy blue and pink.
“Our goal is to create clothes which can be worn by active women at all stages of their lives, and with this versatile collection we want to help future mothers feel strong and self-assured in all their endeavours, whether in the gym or in everyday life,” said Barbara Ebersberger, vice-president performance apparel at Reebok.
Reebok indicated that the new maternity collection is available now in-store, adding that the brand has never had so many women’s products in its catalogue. Last spring, Reebok notably introduced women’s clothes sizes from 1X to 3X, corresponding to Europe size 46 to 54 (UK size 18 to 26).
