Regatta Great Outdoors debuts in the US at Sears
Regatta Great Outdoors, the Manchester, England-based outdoor clothing and footwear brand, made its debut in the US exclusively at Sears. The launch follows recent launches of R1893, Simply Styled and Simply Emma at Sears.
Established in 1981, Regatta is one of Europe’s popular outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment brands. According to David Pastrana, President of Sears Apparel, Regatta was very selective about who they made their US debut with.
"We chose Sears for our American debut because their customers align well to the type of enthusiasts who have fallen in love with the Regatta brand in Britain and across Europe," said Keith Black, CEO of Regatta Great Outdoors. "With its seasonality, vast outdoor adventure and leisure options, New England is the perfect region to introduce the brand."
Family owned by the Black family, the Regatta group operates the largest group of outdoor brands in the UK, including Hawkshead which was acquired in 2010.
Regatta is available in 1,800-square-foot shops at 11 Sears stores in the New England area, including Saugus, Burlington, Auburn, Peabody, Braintree, Natick and Hyannis in Massachusetts, Salem and Nashua in New Hampshire, Warwick, Rhode Island, and South Burlington, Vermont. This fall, the label will launch on the Sears website.
