Reitmans appoints Group President to lead plus-size brands

Canadian retailer Reitmans announced on Wednesday the appointment of Jonathon Fitzgerald as Group President for the Company's plus-size women apparel brands including Addition Elle and Penningtons.
 

"We are leaders in the women's retail plus-size market, and there is great potential for growth in this sector", said Stephen F. Reitman, President of the Company, in a news statement. "We are confident that Mr. Fitzgerald, a senior executive with extensive knowledge in retail and deep international experience, will position our unique offering to achieve our business objectives and propel Addition Elle and Penningtons to new heights."
 
In this position, Mr. Fitzgerald will be responsible for the strategic direction, operations management and financial performance of the brands and will support their growth in Canada and internationally.

Earlier this year, Addition Elle announced big plans to target the US market.
 
The Montreal-based company launched their localized US website in September, coinciding with New York Fashion Week, which has allowed the company to provide faster and more reliable deliveries for US customers, as well as special US only events and promotions.

Reitmans currently operates 664 stores consisting of 280 Reitmans, 125 Penningtons, 95 Addition Elle, 85 RW & CO., 60 Thyme Maternity and 19 Hyba.
